Healthy 100 Church Certification

The Three Phases

Florida Hospital's Healthy 100 Church Ministry empowers churches to experience growing health ministries. Christ promised, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John: 10:10) Throughout the Healthy 100 Church Ministry, Florida Hospital helps you and your church experience the benefits of a health ministry in three consecutive phases:

Phase 2: "Health Ministry Teams"

In phase two, churches are given opportunities to develop a vibrant health ministry team. This stage is designed to inform health ministry team members with ongoing support, outreach programs, and Healthy 100 resources.

Education

Congregations with Health Ministry Teams truly become centers for health and wholeness as they coordinate health information and lifestyle applications within the framework of spiritual care. Healthy 100 Churches offers various educational opportunities for personal growth, continuing education and in jump starting a health ministry team. These courses will educate and empower you to return to their congregation with the knowledge and tools that will help inform their community.


Health & Wellness

Healthy 100 Church Ministry is providing health ministry teams with an opportunity to live life to the fullest - in body, mind and spirit. Team members will be able to enjoy the exclusive benefits of Healthy 100 membership including interactive tools and resources designed to track health accomplishments and create personalized health plans. They will learn about the 8 proven principles that guide people to live healthier and longer lives.


It is also highly recommended that each health ministry team member becomes familiar with the 8 proven principles to a Healthy 100. This can be taught through a simple online self-assessment that goes over Choice, Rest, Environment, Activity, Trust, Interpersonal relationships, Outlook and Nutrition.


Resources

To further assist you and give you the tools you need for your growing ministry, join the Healthy 100 Church Association. This association provides ongoing whole person health resources, discounts, and fosters relationships between churches for health ministry implementation.


Events

In efforts to keep the health ministry teams engaged in the latest health and wellness topics, we host 2 monthly Lunch & Learns, one tailored to Pastors and one for Faith Community Nurses. There are also special events throughout the year that will inspire action and educate on health and faith connections.

Retreat

For Healthy 100 Churches that have gone through the steps above and are ready to transition into the 3rd Healthy 100 Church phase, we invite one pastor and his or her spouse to attend a rejuvenation retreat to experience the CREATION Health lifestyle. These retreats are by invite only for pastors to share their experiences with health ministry in their congregations and to walk away more inspired and eager to be engaged in the churches health ministry team.

Support

Health Ministry Teams will receive the continual guidance and support from Healthy 100 Church's Health Liaisons. These liaisons will guide your health ministry team through the process of making your congregation a "Healthy 100 Church".
