Florida Hospital’s Healthy 100 Church Ministry is designed to serve churches of all faiths in the journey for everyone to live to a Healthy 100. Healthy 100 Churches is a ministry which empowers pastors, health ministry teams, and congregation members to experience vibrant health ministries and empower congregations to live life abundantly, experiencing physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. Throughout the Healthy 100 Church journey, Florida Hospital can assist you and your church to experience the benefits of a health ministry in three consecutive phases:

Healthy 100 Clergy

As the leader of a faith community, you have a unique opportunity to inspire health and wellness. Healthy 100 Church Ministry provides Pastors with the resources, tools and staff support to inspire their churches about whole person health and empower them to implement a health ministry that promotes congregational wellness in mind, body, and spirit. We also recognize that Clergy wellness is essential to a congregation’s successful implementation of a sustainable health ministry and have incorporated wellness benefits for Pastors into the Healthy 100 certification process.

Healthy 100 Health Ministry Teams

Healthy 100 Churches have the most effective and vibrant health ministry when a health ministry team is engaged. Health ministry teams are composed of members of the congregation who have a love for God, an interest in health, and a desire to help others. These teams include people of all ages, culture, background and spiritual gifts. The goal of the health ministry team is to educate and motivate people to adopt healthy lifestyle changes, which will improve and sustain their quality of life. Educational courses to start your health ministry team such as Fundamentals of Faith Community Nursing and Health Ministry Team Building are offered by Florida Hospital.

Healthy 100 Congregation

Once the Pastor has cast the vision and a health ministry team is structured, the next step is energizing and engaging your congregation to live life to the fullest, on the path to a Healthy 100. Healthy 100 Churches link your congregation with Biblically and medically based inspiration, information, and implementation resources to help your establish an impactful whole person health ministry. Congregations with an active health ministry truly become centers for health and wholeness living, on the path to a Healthy 100. As Christ promised, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10).

Healthy 100 Church Association

Part of Florida Hospital’s commitment to building healthy communities is through the development of health ministry. To assist churches in developing their health ministries, Healthy 100 Church Ministry will ‘walk with’ and help the churches through their health ministry journey. By joining the Healthy 100 Church Association, the association will provide ongoing Whole Person health resources, discounts and fosters relationships between churches for health ministry implementation. This website provides a host of benefits and resources. The church will receive exclusive access to and discounts on training materials, podcasts, health-related sermons, videos, books, guides, small group materials, and much more!
