A Healthy 100 Church

Florida Hospital Healthy 100 Church Ministry’s purpose is to equip churches with growing health ministries and empower congregations to live life abundantly, experiencing physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.

Christ promised, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)

Throughout your Healthy 100 Church journey, Florida Hospital wants to encourage you and your church to develop an energizing and engaging health ministry. Healthy 100 Church Ministry has the following three levels to best support your church’s growing health ministry:

Phase 1: Healthy 100 Church Pastor:

For Pastors interested in exploring health and wellness for their Church:

• Senior Pastor expresses desire for Healthy 100 Certification.
• Pastor completes a short online self-assessment about health and wellness
• Opportunity for Pastor (and spouse) to participate in the Clergy Wellness Project.
• Pastor receives special invitations to Mission & Ministry Events.
• Florida Hospital sponsors a kickoff health event at your Church.
• Follow-up support through health resources, tools and Healthy 100 resources.

Phase 2: Healthy 100 Church Health Ministry Team:

For churches beginning or sustaining a health ministry:

• Florida Hospital can assist in forming a Health Ministry Team at your Church
• Health Ministry Team completes a short online self-assessment about health and wellness
• Health Ministry Team receives special invitations to attend "Lunch & Learn" events.
• Churches have the opportunity to access the Healthy 100 Church Association
• Pastor (and spouse) have an opportunity to participate in a rejuvenation retreat
• Ongoing support, outreach programs, and Healthy 100 resources

Phase 3: Healthy 100 Church Congregation:

For churches with growing health ministries:

• Church members become engaged in wellness through the Healthy 100 movement.
• Congregation receives ongoing wellness education and special event opportunities.
• Health Grants are available for your church's health programs
• Opportunity for your church's health ministry to become a Healthy 100 demonstration site
• Ongoing health ministry support and resources from Florida Hospital
• Pastors, Faith Community Nurses, and their spouses will have an annual appreciation event that celebrates their health ministry's success
